Continuity

For those that follow my existence, all is well in the land of the free, home of the brave, etc. etc.

Today is a Holy Day, therefore let us get straight back to our spiritual journey with the following gothic feast from Munster, Germany - aptly titled "Behold":

Behold - A Statue of Christ

Owned by Number Six, who shares many beautiful images of faith.

And So, The End Is Near (Pause)

I get to mutter the familiar cliche apology - trying to explain to you, gentle reader, as to why there haven't been postings of late. The short answer is: I'm moving to America. In just one more day I travel to the United States. As I have failed to tell most of even my closest friends I'm sure you'll forgive me if you are also learning this a little late.

But fear you not that all light shall be extinguished so quickly from your solemn lives - for within just a few days I shall be settled in to my new home, and the postings shall return.

The New Power Generation

"The conventional power grid is showing signs of age. Energy use has increased far more quickly than capacity has been added. So blackouts and brownouts occur more often."

The following link points to an interesting article on Wired, describing how Americans are producing enough power from renewable energy to supply themselves and make money from the surplus.

The Fireworks Trilogy: Part 1

In case you haven't noticed today is Friday, the passing of the working week, the portal to your freedom. Under the new regime that makes it a High Day. Feel free to act an idiot, whilst proudly drawing attention, as we celebrate with the tradition of mild explosives. From the gallery of Taromatsumura is this firework intensity:

Inhale

I have laid a path before us, covering both the spectacular and the sincere. Today is a Holy Day, foremost an expression of my own faith, described through the borrowed imagery of others.

This is named "Silent" and captured by Proserpina:

Silent

Dedicated to everything angelic, it begins with a pause, and then barely a whisper.

Phase Three: Holy Days and High Days

Following a glorious bank holiday, which I trust you enjoyed, it's time to start two new photo projects:

Holy Days
I've been looking forward to doing a series on this one for some time. The world is full of fantastic architecture and decoration, much created as a testament to the love of a creator. Wednesday shall provide a day of visual food for the soul as we tour the world looking for these works.

High Days
Something pleasing, something positively "Friday" - I will look to provide upbeat eye-candy, preparing you for your weekend ahead.

As ever please email me your suggestions for material I should be noting, whatever you enjoy. (Anyone who does, obviously perform the necessary evil to my email address, it really isn't rocket science my friend).
