Recap: The People's Thursday

This day marks the conclusion of The People's Thursday, your pre-weekend proof that humanity is a alive and well:

Celebrate the diversity that is my inclusion of two Judaism-related photographs out of just twelve presented. I regretfully admit there is a side of myself disappointed that I didn't exhibit the vibrant range of emotions and backgrounds I aspired to.

I must thank the twelve artists for not insisting I immediately remove their work (of course that may hinge on their not knowing of me, for fameless obscurity is a friend of mine). Spare a thought for all us big-time dreamers lost in the small-town smog.

Recap: Urban Monday

Like a fine meal your greedy guests have devoured, Urban Monday is no more. Here is one final chance to survey the various highs and lows of city living.

School's Out

I can now officially mark the closing of the previous two photo features, Urban Monday & The People's Thursday, I hope they provided you with some interesting distractions amongst your daily affairs.

Needless to say, there will be a recap feature, as before, so you can quickly peruse what you missed - then it's straight forward with the next season of features.

Nostalgia Revisited

For a final installment of The People's Thursday I highlight the quality photostreaming of Lomokev. This photo is pleasantly titled "Old people cooling down on a hot day":

The lives of people you have never met, understood thoroughly, if only for a moment.

A New Occupation

Let us assume for a brief moment your hobby is the abduction of children, you are living in Japan, and the school you have chosen as source of targets has invested heavily in the defence of its little pupils.

Firstly, all the pupils are electronically tagged, that's not going to help your prospective jaunt. Secondly they have the Secom Robot X. That harmless robot can identify you as an unknown intruder with a delightful blend of flood lights and optics. Then after charging at you (it can outrun you by the way), it can release a highly pressurised plume of smoke up into your face.

If you don't think that would deter you have a look at this video clip - it is quite impressive.
Don't Mess With The Robot Armies

I can't see it taking off in English primary schools just yet - but who knows.

So Much For The City

It's Monday Morning, you're late for work! It's time to head central with Urban Monday. The Flickr photostream of Kent Henderson has been raided to catch the following perspective on our capital:

Happy Families

A format landscape depiction of all that is a wholesome union, lifted from the gallery of Mike Halby, this is The People's Thursday.

Gotham Station

As I play catch up I offer the following Urban Monday, snatched to film by Catherine Jamieson, depicting an anything-but-ordinary petrol station outside Kansas City.

Rainbow Bright

As your working week nearly reaches it's conclusion it's time to begin the mobilisation for the weekend with: The People's Thursday. I really felt like finding something vivid and intense to satisfy your stares.

The following links from Catherine Jamieson's Color! gallery. Entitled "Mnemosyne's Favorite Daughters", I believe it gives reference to the beautiful plaything of Zeus in Greek mythology (correct me if I'm wrong please).

Collated

To ensure your day has no chance of being ordinary I found this collage-fantastique during my online travels, created by photo-remixer The Alieness containing a view of Buenos Aires.

By looking at this picture you have just agreed to click on it - thereby showing the full work, which contains many more fragments of photographs than I can fit in this meagre space.

Vegas Francais

It's time to scrape your work clothes off the ground once more and head back to the city, it's Urban Monday.

Yours is all that is glitzy with this photographic cityscape, seized by Krypto and captioned for convenience "Bellagio fountains from the Eiffel Tower":
