The Blue Room

Once again I'm going to mention my favourite radio show - the Blue Room, on BBC Radio 1.
It's from 5-7am Saturday and Sunday Morning - don't go to bed, or get up early!

Alternatively, use the Listen Again feature right now and hear what the fuss is all about.

Better At Night

As I complete my Sirharris schedule struggle here is your Urban Monday. I dare you to try not loving this widescreen-city-fiesta, snatched by Flickr user Denise, and aptly titled Night Movements:

Belated

Holy week has led to delays of epic proportions, nevertheless I care more that you are having an enjoyable holiday long weekend. Presented here is The People's Thursday. Titled Hurrying across Brooklyn Bridge, I found this pleasing photograph hosted at Flickr (cropped):

Parking Made Pretty

The calendar reminds me of the date, so just before it changes, here I share this week's Urban Monday.

For those that can't fail to see beauty in that mixture of inanimate and organic that makes up a city, the gallery entitled Urban Spaces: Praise and Curse is really quite special. At least three quarters of the photography contained would make ideal future candidates for Urban Monday, here is a pair of favourites I noticed of a lowly car park in Berlin.

That's another feat to record for German Engineering.

Clever People Do This

If you are reading this there is a good chance you are a member of my elite corps of regular readers. I want your experience of this site to be the best it can be. You have two choices, either:

A) Visit this page again and again in the hope each time that I have updated it
B) Use a smart little service that will let you know when all your favourite pages are updated!

If option B sounds like a good idea please have a quick look at Bloglines, it's free after all.

Textuality

A needless idea amused me for a moment:
Why not examine your messaging habits on your mobile phone, who do you message most, men or women? - are you a homotextual or a proud hetrotextual? I think I am literally fifty-fifty on this one, obviously making me bitextual.

Anyway, without further ado I present to you The People's Thursday. Plucked from the highly enjoyable prose-filled tattoo gallery of Darren Barefoot:

There's No Place Like Hizzy

Imagine for a moment that my English sensibilities were violently removed and replaced with that of a rapper. In that case this site would most likely read something like this:

Shizzle

Please note, I do not maintain the site above - rappers are known to use the occasional rude word. If this offends someone so tasteful as yourself then I only hope you have read this text before clicking on the previous link.

JPMorganChase

Looted from our personal photographs is the following from Times Square, taken back at Christmas time. Today is Monday, that makes it Urban Monday, surely you must know that.

Thank you for the handful of lovely comments regarding the previous personal photograph, that is very kind of you.

Happy Returns

Good Evening, as the weekend wraps itself up I shall steal a moment to document my return. As previously requested, photo features will occasionally include personal photographs taken by myself and my better half.

Presented below is the first of our Celtic-related offerings, taken facing the Menai Straits before we travelled North to Anglesey - I hope you like it.

Intermission

This post is to politely inform you of my holiday. From today, till a week on Sunday, I shall be travelling the country, away from this blog and you, gentle reader. As I shall not be here to watch over you as usual, I ask that you make special efforts to take care of one another in my absence.

Upon my return you can look forward to the usual family dinner, including Urban Monday, the People's Thursday, and all the usual trimmings.

God bless.

Oi Va Voi

The time is morning-o'clock, this is the sixth weekly People's Thursday.

Observe Flickr user Jefflash and his incredibly varied dog photography. On a similar theme is today's find, a lady, with a dog dressed in Jewish attire. As previously, any further description would be largely needless.

An additional note would be to credit the title of this posting to a favourite musical collective Oi Va Voi, no offence is intended by their name of course.

A Positive Attitude

"We can all use a little sunshine. Dan's caught a few rays and made them into a manifesto you can take with you wherever you go. He hopes it makes you smile."

If ever there was a document that fits with the philosophy behind Sirharris.com, this is it. I urge you to steal the necessary moments - give this a look:
