It's Time To Awaken
To help us gently commence our new week, I thought our eyes could use the careful massage of one of my perennial favourites, 3 a.m. from Kyoto. This one containing all that is truly England is the first in a series of photography inspired by the work of Constable:
I hope you also don't mind me making a brief reference to a website of my stateside friend, Julianne. It's really intended for her family and friends, but I consider such a fine sort as yourself a friend, so feel free to have a look. As always I expect nothing short of best behaviour from the patrons of Sirharris.

Is it the place that inspired 'The Haywain'? Really lovely - I can imagine sitting there by the river on a lazy afternoon ...

PS, I've just been to visit your friend Julianne, she has a lovely blog and a lovely little girl there - but her comments aren't enabled; so please pass my message on!

Ally, you are right about the picture, and you are right about the little girl.
