Part Cockney, Part West Country

Mrs Roberts discovered she had a British accent after her voice recovered following a stroke.

Four years on, she still struggles to convince people that she has lived all her life in America. "People in America accuse me of lying when I say I was born in Indiana. They would say 'What are you saying that for? Where in England are you from?'

"Her accent is a mixture of English cockney and West Country."

The poor lady's "English Accent" reminds me of my girlfriend's attempts; Hearing it meander from region to region, no consistency between any two adjoining sentences. My American accent, on the other hand, is superb. Few would suggest it critically flawed by my inability to mimic beyond "My paynts! my paynts are on fyy-er!"

Wow, I understand her plight. After running into a wall last week I've been unable to speak anything but pig latin and dated 1990's your momma jokes

Reminds me of Madonna and her affected accent.
thanks for stopping by my blog.
